Mr. Phadke is a Senior Partner at the firm and an Ex- Executive Director – Legal and Principal Legal Counsel of IDBI Bank. He has nearly 40 years of experience, majority of which is in the Banking industry.

He has extensive expertise in dealing with diverse complex legal issues in the areas of:

• corporate financing (including securitization, lease finance, structured finance, etc.);
• infrastructure project financing;
• corporate debt restructuring;
• due diligence;
• mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures;
• retail banking;
• cross-border borrowing & lending;
• all types of documentation;
• litigation management;
• HR issues (including relating to industrial relations, employee relations, employee grievances, disciplinary proceedings, collective bargaining, etc.), etc.
• Non- Performing Assets Management;
• Debt and Capital Markets; and
• Fraud Risk Management.

He was also involved in Professional Committees such as:

• IBA Legal & Operational Standing Committee;
• Core Group for Guidance Note on Diligence Report; and
• Core Group for drafting of Rules, and Notifications for SARFAESI Act.
