Nishit has an extensive experience of over two decades in Dispute Resolution, Real Estate and Corporate & Commercial law practice. Highly recommended by clients for his strong advocacy and litigation skills, he has successfully represented leading companies, public sector undertakings, government companies and business group owners in various high stakes and complex disputes. As an Arbitration Expert, he has been representing his clients' interest in numerous international and domestic arbitration disputes including mediation wherever, required. Nishit has been regularly advising various real estate clients in structuring and acquisition of properties, conducting due diligence, title verifications and slum re-development projects. On the Corporate side, Nishit counsels clients on issues related to private equity and venture capital investments, foreign direct investments and has advised companies on strategies for investing, commencing operations and consolidations in India. He has also advised Indian companies for raising funds through initial public offerings by way of rights issue, GDRs. He regularly advises banks on securities transactions and security documentation, documentation relating to cross border lending/finance and acquisition of financial assets, including nonperforming assets. Prakash specialises in litigation and dispute resolution and has wide experience in contentious matters of Admiralty, Banking and Finance, Commercial, Real Estate, Enforcement and Execution and Securities related disputes. Prakash has substantial experience in drafting high court proceedings such as plaint, notice of motion, chamber summons, written statements, appeals, civil applications, arbitration petitions, writ petitions, summary suits, recovery suits, company petitions, scheme of amalgamations and appeals in the securities appellate tribunal. Prakash has been regularly appearing and pleading before the Bombay High Court, the City Civil Court, Small Causes Court, Magistrate's Court, Economic Offence Wing, Debt Recovery Tribunal, the Securities Appellate Tribunal and the Company Law Board.

Malav is a Partner at the Firm and specialises in the areas of banking & finance, project finance and real estate matters. Malav is a qualified Solicitor and member of the Bombay Incorporated Law Society. In real estate, Malav handles a broad range of sophisticated and complex transactions related to acquisitions and dispositions; leasing; financing, FDI in real estate, land aggregation and RERA advisory related work. Being a seasoned debt finance lawyer, Malav plays an integral role in the Firm’s banking & finance practice. He frequently advises in matters of debt structuring and restructuring, project financing and refinancing, syndicated and bilateral loans, external commercial borrowings etc. Malav regularly represents Indian and overseas entities in financing global as well as domestic projects. He also represents and advises leading banks and financial institutions; project developers and authorities, especially in the infrastructure and renewable power sector. He structures project finance transactions and drafts and vets loan agreements, security trustee agreements, inter creditor agreements, deeds of guarantee, deeds of pledge, mortgage deeds, hypothecation deeds, assignment deeds, trust and retention account agreements, escrow agreements and other such documents. Some of the key clients he has worked with include entities which are nationalised banks, private banks, foreign banks, NBFCs, infrastructure companies, real estate developers and companies in energy sectors.

Mr. Phadke is a Senior Partner at the firm and an Ex- Executive Director - Legal and Principal Legal Counsel of IDBI Bank. He has nearly 40 years of experience, majority of which is in the Banking industry. Khushbu is a Partner heading the Alternate Dispute Resolution practice at MDP Legal. She has represented clients in a series of disputes under all forms of agreements relating to maritime law, infrastructure, project finance disputes, contractual claims, etc. She regularly appears on claims being adjudged before arbitral tribunals (domestic and international), both ad-hoc and institutional (ICC, LCIA, LMAA and SIAC). She has represented clients in proceedings before the Bombay High Court as well as the Supreme Court of India, including enforcement of international as well as domestic awards passed by the arbitral tribunals. Khushbu also represents and advises public sector undertakings in domestic as well as international arbitral disputes. She has completed her Masters in International Business and Commercial Laws from the University of Manchester.

Lavin has an expertise of over 15 years in the media & entertainment sector and development, production and protection of content including feature films, television shows, webseries, music, etc and distribution and syndication of content through both traditional and non-traditional forms of exploitation. He regularly represents several high- profile celebrities with respect to both their personal investments and professional engagements including real estate, taxation , events, brand endorsements, acting assignments and stage performances.

Our Partner, Yash Dhruva specializes in complex commercial and corporate litigation across various fora including Supreme Court, High Court, Arbitration Tribunals and the National Company Law Tribunal. Yash began his academic journey at the esteemed Government Law College in Mumbai, where he earned his LLB as a rank topper on the merit list. Following his success in India, he pursued further specialization by obtaining an LLM in International Commercial Litigation and Arbitration from New York University. After completing his education, Yash gained substantial experience working at DSK Legal, a well-regarded law firm, where he spent several years building his expertise in dispute resolution. His experience at DSK Legal laid a solid foundation for his specialization in high-stakes arbitration and litigation. Sunay specializes in the Banking and Finance and Real Estate practice areas. Sunay graduated from ILS Law College, Pune, in the year 2014 and has been associated with the firm since the year 2017. He regularly acts as the lender's legal counsel and advises lenders in drafting loan documents and carrying out the title due diligences in respect of the assets being offered as collateral. He also advises clients on various transactions involving sale / purchase / leasing of immovable properties and the redevelopment of immovable properties.

Niyati has been a part of the Firm's Disputes practice since 2017. Her expertise lies in general litigation with a focus on Banking and Finance, Commercial, Real Estate matters, and white-collar crime defence matters and advises most of PSUs, NBFCs and other domestic clients. She represents clients before various courts with a primary focus on matters before the Bombay High Court, National Company Law Tribunal, City Civil and Sessions Court, Small Causes Court and Magistrate Courts.

Seema is an Ex Banker and has more than 20 years of experience mainly of which is in Banking Industry. She has a wide experience in Banking & Finance including securitisation, financial regulatory practice, retail banking, financial services and general banking products along with general corporate matters. She is a Certified Associate of Indian institute of Bankers and her core areas of work are Banking and Finance, Commercial and Corporate Law Matters. Some of the clients she works with are nationalised banks, private banks, foreign banks, NBFCs and financial institutions.
